DFI Week 2
To start the session off this week we looked at the Learn/Ako part of Manaiakalani’s Learn, Create, Share. It was great to be reminded of how the process works with the students and that it may look different between schools and learners. Using technology is a fantastic way to engage reluctant learners and there are so many tools available to assist learners of every level. Looking at Google Meet helped me to refresh my memory as I haven’t really used this since the lockdown. In particular, being reminded about how to set one up. I found it helpful knowing that through the Google Meet booking I can share documents or pictures that are of relevance to the meet. I really enjoyed learning about google keep and think that this will be useful in both my personal and professional life. In particular, I liked how you can take pictures of a text and then grab the text and put it into a word document so a child is able to listen to the story and discuss it afterwards.
